Conbit Global Cranes Wire Rope Inspection

Conbit Global Cranes Wire Rope Inspection

Conbit Global Cranes takes care of Wire Rope Integrity

Conbit Global Cranes provides comprehensive wire rope inspection services, ensuring the reliability and safety of your crane operations. Before the inspection, our team meticulously prepares the rope byde-reeving it from the crane system and carefully spooling it for easy handling. We also perform thorough surface cleaning to remove contaminants such as grease, dirt, and corrosion, creating the perfect conditions for a precise and accurate inspection.

Magneto-Inductive and Visual Inspection

Conbit Global Cranes employs the Magneto-Inductive (MI) method alongside visual inspections to evaluate the condition of wire ropes. The MI method, in line with ISO 4309 standards, uses advanced magnetic technology to detect internal defects and measure metallic loss that is not visible to the eye. Complementing this, our competent inspectors perform a detailed visual examination, identifying external issues such as broken wires, wear, corrosion, and diameter reduction. Together, these methods provide a comprehensive assessment of the rope’s integrity.

Post-Inspection Services

After the inspection, Conbit provides a detailed report documenting the findings, including a severity rating for any identified defects. If necessary, we handle the replacement of the wire rope with new, high-quality options that meet operational requirements. Our team ensures a seamless process by performing spooling and reeving services, correctly reinstalling the rope into the crane system. Finally, we conduct thorough functional testing to verify that the crane operates flawlessly with the inspected or replaced wire rope.
