Lead Mechanical Engineer

Conbit, active in lifting and handling, has set up a new business unit (B.U.), Conbit High-Tech to supply services to the semiconductor industry. The business unit is actively seeking a lead mechanical engineer. As a lead mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for the development process of lifting and/or handling tools as well as equipment. 

KEY RESULT AREAS

·        To develop new transport, handling and lifting tools in compliance with client requirements;

·        To lead the design process;

·        To organize design review meetings;

·        To design tools and equipment;

·        To advise on feasibility, cost and timelines;

·        To set milestones, communicate project status, and identify or address setbacks;

·        To ensure engineering is done within planning and budget;

·        To act as senior engineer for junior engineers;

·        To attend project meetings and be present on sites as required;

·        To report on a regular basis to the Technical Lead.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering;

·        Excellent communication and team work skills;

·        Fluent spoken and written skills in Dutch and English.

 

EXPERIENCE 

·        A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position.

·        A minimum of 8 years of broad, relevant work experience.
